The Beauty Rooms

The Beauty Rooms is a well-established, small and friendly, family run beauty salon on the border of Brighton and Hove. We work solely on client recommendation, with many of our clients having been coming to the salon since it’s opening in 2005.

The ethos of the Beauty Rooms has always been to provide our clients with the very best levels of customer service, making sure that each and every treatment is done to the highest possible standard using the best products available. All of our treatments are designed to wherever possible offer complete relaxation for your mind, body and soul. We firmly believe that every trip to our salon should be a wonderful and relaxing experience.

We offer a full range of beauty treatments here at the beauty rooms, with both classic facials and advance skincare facial. Our manicure and pedicure services are the most comprehensive around, we offer lash and brow services, make up, waxing and spray tanning and much more so please look through our brochure for more details.

We do have a luxurious double pedicure room and we also have a double manicure station so that friends, partners, mums and daughters can have some special time when having treatments done together. Perfect for a birthday surprise or just as a special treat.

2020 and early 2021 proved to be a challenging time the beauty industry and for our salon but we have evolved and moved through these trying times, learning new ways of working to protect both ourselves and our clients from possible infection and to fully reassure you that we can offer the safest salon environment possible here are just some of many changes we have made to comply fully with Covid 19 regulations

Therapists

Therapists will now be wearing the following PPE equipment, face masks, a full face shield and disposable gloves. All therapists will have completed and passed new COVID-19 beauty industry training, certificates will be displayed.

We’re also available for exclusive use for hen parties, birthdays, weddings and special events.

Salon Hygiene

All surfaces touched, door handles, light switches and equipment used will be cleaned between each client with sterilising antibacterial cleaners. All soft furnishings will be sprayed with antibacterial spray between clients. Fresh towels will be used for each client. All towels will be washed on a minimum 60 degree wash. All tools used will be sterilised between each client including files, clippers, cuticle nippers, cuticle pushers, tweezers, foot files and foot spas, wherever possible disposable equipment will be used. Our manicure desks and the reception desk will now have protection screens.

Bookings

All appointments must now be booked in advance by either phone or email. We will no longer be able to accommodate same day bookings or walk-ins. The maximum length of time permitted for each appointment will be 2 hours. All bookings will be confirmed the day before by email when you will be asked to confirm that you are fit and well, with no known Covid 19 symptoms and that you have not been in contact with anyone with Covid 19. If you have any symptoms you will be asked to rebook your appointment at a later date when you have been free of symptoms for 14 days.

Appointments

On arrival at the salon you will be asked to ring the door bell and wait outside the salon until one of us can open the door, allowing us to make sure the reception area is clear for you and has been sanitised. You will be scanned on arrival with a non contact infrared body thermometer to check you do not have a temperature. You will be asked to sanitise you hands on arrival. Appointments will be staggered so that it allows us time to clean and sanitise between each client, fully prepare our working area and to avoid congestion in the reception area.

Health questionnaire/Patch tests

In accordance with government guidelines all clients will need to complete a comprehensive health questionnaire and for any treatments requiring patch tests you will be asked to preform a new patch test on your first visit bak to salon.

The above will be reviewed periodically in accordance with government legislation

Location

The Beauty Rooms are located in the prestigious Hove Park area of Brighton and Hove, and Matlock Road is to be found just off of the main Dyke road/Dyke Road Avenue. We are within a small parade of local shops, with free one-hour parking bays and metered parking just outside the salon. All parking is free on Saturdays.

The owner Nichole and her daughter Katie along with the newest member of the team Lucy are all extremely professional, friendly and welcoming and the salon offers a wide range of treatments as well as employing the services of a massage therapist/podiatrist and nutritionist. Each month there is usually a promotion for one of the treatments which are hugely popular…(my favourite is the hot paraffin wax foot treatment). I have been using the salon regularly for a number of years now and always leave feeling like a new woman!

Nichole Fox

Nichole opened The Beauty Rooms back in 2004, and has been in the beauty industry for most of her working life, having first trained as a nail technician back in 1990, then completing her beauty therapy training 3 years later. Nichole loves all the aspects of her job,  but has always found manicure to be her favourite treatment and has also worked with OPI as a regional trainer for South East, England. Cajun Shrimp is her favourite OPI shade, this is the perfect summer coral.

Lucy Fox

Lucy is Nichole’s daughter and has been working in the salon since starting as a Saturday girl when she was just 13 years old, Lucy is now fully qualified in all aspects of beauty, with additional qualifications in advanced skincare and advanced facials. Facials are her favourite treatment to do, along with manicure and pedicure where she get to show off her
artistic skills. Lucys favourite OPI shade is Chopstix and stones, a bold bright blue which she like to wear over her acrylic extensions.


Charlotte Egen

Charlotte is an ITEC qualified therapist and fully insured by the CTHA. Her massage treatments include; pregnancy massage, holistic massage, and deep tissue massage. Charlotte has, for the last eight years, been working on West End shows as the resident massage therapist, but has recently joined the team and is available for treatments most days and is even happy to offer early evening appointments for any clients who are too busy to make appointments during the working day.
